Advanced Placement Language and Composition
The purpose of this course is to promote development of critical reading and writing skills that will increase appreciation of the written word, make students more skilled, purposeful readers and writers and ultimately allow them to achieve college credit for their efforts by succeeding on the Advanced Placement Language and Composition exam in May.
This course focuses on studying fiction and nonfiction writing in its many forms. The student will develop a proficiency in evaluating texts and writing analytically about these texts. The course provides a solid introduction to research writing and to other types of writing that will be required of college students.

Remember: All make-up tests will be given during RED or after school on Monday.
