Announcements:
Reminder: Play week!!! We're finally here! Please bring main cast to the school by 6pm on your performance night. Group cast is to arrive by 6:15. Doors to the cafeteria open at 6pm (though people will be lined up early in the afternoon). Group members should arrive already dressed- girls hair should be in a high bun. All children need bright red lipstick (already applied for groups, please).
Math: We are finishing multiplying and dividing with decimals.
Science: We will be presenting our science fair projects to our classmates all this week. It is always exciting to see what the others have done and to share our own work.
Social Studies: Any region that students did not master (at least 80% success) will need to be relearned. Quizzes will be retaken on Friday.
Homework:
Homework resumes this week, in addition to learning your states and capitals.
Problems with access to math and science textbooks online have now been resolved. Everyone should be able to log in to Pearsonsuccessnet by clicking to the link on the left, then entering your username (your first and last name all in caps, no spaces: FIRSTLAST) and password (STUDENT1). Once you have logged in you will see your textbook choices, and some additional resources to try out. You must use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome to use any of the resources on Pearson (will not work if you open in Internet explorer).
Each week the homework will be written on the board, to be copied into the agenda on the first day of the week. Generally I assign 2 math practice pages and one science or Social Studies assignment per week. This is a guideline, not a rule. It really depends on what we are studying. BOTH sides of the page should ALWAYS be completed unless instructed otherwise.
