November
A time reflect and to be Thankful.

November is a month we will have many activities that are oriented around the Thanksgiving theme. The activities are not only fun for the students but also, they are educational.
I am happy to report that Allof the students have been DRA tested . The DRA  is a reading level test for students. It determines which reading level a student is currently on and which strategies need to be implemented to help him/her move to the next level. I cannot encourage enough to read everyday with your child. Reading at home not only reinforces the strategies learned in the classroom, but most importantly, it is imperative for students to build a strong reading foundation. The book in the yellow folder is a good reading tool for your child.  These books should kept at home for at least 2-3 days before being returned. Your child should be able to read the book  fluently with no miscues before a new book is sent home.

Lastly, but not in the least, I would like to thank the parents that have been in the classroom to help. We are so appricative of all that you do for our class. I would especially like to thank Mrs. Wolfson for her dedication to our classroom. She has consistanly volunteered her time to help our class with preparations for lessons, assessments and activities, all the while caring for her baby!

Just a reminder parents, we have a student that has a severe peanut allergy, therefore our classroom is a peanut free classroom.
