Welcome to Mrs. Straw's Kindergarten Class 

After a wonderful orientation I am very excited about the new school year!  I can't wait to get started!!!  We will be focusing on rituals and routines of a structured school day the first several weeks of school.  During this time I will get to know all of your children as students as they will get to know me and each other.  Our instruction for reading and writing will be driven by the question "Why do we need to have routines in Reader's and Writer's Workshop?"  We will read a varied list of excellent story books daily so be sure to ask your child what their favorite book of the day was! 

 

Please look for Scholastic Book Order Forms in your students' BEE Book.  Our class earns points that we can use to order books and resources for the classroom.  Students also enjoy getting books from school that they can take home!

 

Continue to check the BEE Book DAILY as it is our MAIN source of communication.   

 

Please turn in your information packets ASAP.  This pack contains many important documents that we MUST keep in each students cumulative file.

 

 

This is a very exciting time for all of us and I can't wait to see your students Sail the Seas of Success!!!
