We're getting close to the end of the first grading period and the students are becoming more responsible with doing homework assignments and having planners signed. Thanks for your help with this!

I wanted to send information about a few websites that are good resources if your child needs extra practice.  Continue to have your child work on FCAT explorer 1-2 times per week.  This will not only help your child prepare for FCAT, but also help them on our reading tests in class.  Our Theme tests are given at the end of each theme or unit and the types of questions are much like those on FCAT explorer.  They have to read several passages on their own and then answer questions after each passage.

If your child is having difficulty with Language skills (sentences, subject/predicate,etc...), you can practice on www.eduplace.com. Click on the yellow folder, then the box with reading/language arts.  Click on the box that says English, K-5 and go to Grammar Blast & Unit 1.

Also to get extra practice on the reading vocabulary, they can go to  the reading box, then the Grade 3 locker.  Go to the story that we're working on and then click e word game.
