Homework goes home every Friday and is due back every Friday. Homework starts (goes home) Sept. 7 and is due on Sept. 14. It is in your child's homework pouch and should be returned in the same place. Doing a little homework each day builds study skills which will benefit your child tremendously as they enter the upper elementary grades and have lots of homework each night. Thanks for working with your child to help them be successful in school.
Reading at least one book is homework every night and should be logged in on your child's book log in the BEE Book. (may re-read books too!) This is part of their reading grade. Students should have at least 25 books logged in for each report card period. You may read books to them or they can read to you (or you can share reading!) Books may be read more than once to build repetition of sight words.
We have started Reading Racers, a program to encourage letter recognition, sound recognition, and encourage site word reading. See the deadline dates for each list of words in your BEE Book. Stay on top of these and you won't get behind and you will be racing around the track at lightning speed!
You can always do technology homework in Reading, Math and many other subjects with our sites sent home and login codes. Keep these for future reference :-)
