Are you ready for an enlightning experience?    


THIS WEEK  November 16-20

6th Grade are learning how to do their science project journal and research paper through a week-long science lab on seeds.  On Wednesday, they will work on their journals; Thursday on the parts of the research paper; and on Friday, we will be in the library to work on the rough draft of the science project paper.

The 7th grade are now finishing Energy Transformation and Forms of Energy and they will be taking their district test (PMA) on Tuesday.  The students will also be given time to work on their science project journal on Wednesday; on Thursday, we will review the parts of the research paper; and on Friday, work in the library on the rough draft. 

8th grade
will be starting their next unit on Space with the study of waves.  Monday will be the parts of the wave; Tuesday, the types of waves; on Wednesday, the behavior of waves; Thursday, the parts of the research paper; and on Friday, we will be in the library to work on the rough draft of their research paper.

SCIENCE PROJECTS:   The entire calendar is on the wall of the classroom and as a download on my schoolnotes.com website.  The next due date is the rough draft of the research paper on Friday, December 4.  We will be going to the library on Friday to give the students time to begin writing their papers.

Science project backboard kits will go on sale beginning Monday, November 16.  The kit containing a backboard, header board, and science title cards will cost $12 and will be delivered before Winter Break.  The last day of the sale is Tuesday, November 24.
