I can hardly believe that the first quarter of this school year has flown by.

 

In Reading we will continue to work on thinking deeper about our reading.  We will be closely examining different text structures and focusing on  character development, summarzing, and fix-up strategies for when meaning breaks down.

 

Reading EVERY night is extremely important to ensure a year's growth or progress.

Scholastic Book orders are due Friday, November 6th.

 

We will continue to develop our Narrative Writing strategies with an emphasis on developing creativity and building reader interest. We've been searching our independent reading text looking for great examples of similes.  We are beginning to read as writers, looking for good examples of author's craft.
