    Here are the words for this week: make. We are also working on the "ake" word family. Ex. bake, cake, lake, rake. Review all letters and high frequency words seen on the homework page.
     This month we will be concentrating on numbers 11-25, ordinal numbers 1st-10th, counting to 100 by 5's and 10's, counting backwards from 10-1, writing numbers correctly from 0-25, day and night. Look at the monthly calendar to see what letters and words are to be covered weekly. Make flash cards with the high frequency words and numbers on them. Have your child write the given word or number on paper. Is it written correctly? Review rhyming words and word families. Have your child write a simple story on paper stretching out each word on his/her own.   
     Our new lunch time is 12:15 - 12:45. You are welcome to join your child for lunch any day. Please stop by the office to get a volunteer pass before you come to have lunch.
      Please don't forget to read and record 2 books every night to be a Proud Panther. Review all letters and words that are on the homework sheet.
     Your child will need to bring a snack to school every day.   
     Early release days are: Feb.3 and Feb. 17. 
     We will be exchanging Valentine's Day cards on Feb. 12th. Please make sure the cards are sent in a plastic bag by Feb. 10th so they can be distributed in time.
     We will be going to Lake Forest Elementary school on Feb. 18th to see a play. It is free so we are taking advantage of a free trip and seeing another school perform. 
     We will be going to Pump It Up on Feb. 26th and the cost will be $11.00.  You will not need to send in a lunch on that day because lunch is included in the price.
