Our Class Mission Statement
(correlated with the symbols that we will use to create it):
 
Penny-We will remember that we are special and valuable to ourselves and to each other.
Cotton Ball-We will use soft words and express kind feelings.
Candy Treat-We will treat each other nicely and solve problems together.
Gum-We will stick together as a community, and we will help each other.
Star-We will do our best every day so that we can shine like stars.
Eraser-We might make mistakes, and that is OK.  We will fix them together.

(The children created a self-portrait to display near the mission statement as an agreement to keep these promises that we made to each other.)
