PBD is a GED-Exit Option Program designed for students who are not having success in the regular school program, but who have a desire to receive job training and continue with an alternative academic education for high school completion.  Students interested in enrolling must be at least 16 years of age and have been retained at least two years.  Students must complete an application and score at least 8.0 on the Reading and Math sections of the TABE test.  TABE testing is administered once a month at Frank H. Peterson in room C305.  Parents and students can check the PBD and OJT Calendar link for the next TABE testing date.

There are three requirements for graduation from the PBD program. 
Students must:
* pass the 10th grade version of the Reading and Math FCAT;
*pass the GED (General Education Development Test); and
*earn vocational certification in their chosen career academy.

The daily requirements for PBD students include:
*maintaining a 2.0 GPA in all academic and vocational classes
*adhere to Duval County Public School (DCPS) Attendance policies
*adhere to Duval County Public School (DCPS) Student Code of Conduct policies
*adhere to Frank H. Peterson's school policies and procedures
Failure to comply with daily expectations will result in student's dismissal from the program.

Parents must come and sign for their passwords in Guidance
