Course Description:  The purpose of this interactive computer course is to improve essential cognitive skills: Memory, Attention, Processing and Sequencing (MAPS).  These skills are important prerequisites for successful reading.  When learning MAPS students are able to benefit from reading instruction.

 

Course Objectives:

  1.  Completion benchmark for each student to achieve is 70% complete in 23 days.  Strive for     either Switch or Complete status.
  2. Students will show completion progress of at least 2-5% each day.
  3. Students will strive for an attendance rate of 80% or higher per week.
  4. Students will strive for a participation rate of 90% or higher per week.
  5. Students will be active, attentive and engaged daily.

 

Grade Policy:

Students are grading using a composite rating of attendance and participation.

Missing Assignments:

When students have been absent from school, it is up to each student to take advantage of the extra time during class to continue working on their protocols after completing their daily assignments.  This will enable the student to meet their 2-5% daily completion rate goal.
