My family and I emmigrated from Greece to the United States in 1970. We lived in New York for some time before relocating to Southern California. When we first arrived to the states, I did not speak any English. I remember learning to speak English while watching the Mickey Mouse Show. After high school, I served in the Air Force for 12 years as a medic.

Eventually, I settled in Orlando, Florida whereby I met my incredible husband, Rick. I taught first, second and fourth grade in Orlando. Soon after our wedding, we moved to North Carolina where I taught first and second grade. My husband’s employment at the University of North Florida brought us back to Florida along with family and sailing. I love to teach and learn and know that I am very blessed. I have taught at Chets Creek since 2003 and earned my National Board Certification in 2005. My husband, two Jack Russell Terriers, Samantha and Lord Horatio Nelson, and I love to sail.

I will be looping onto second grade next year and will be joined by a dear friend, former parent and amazing colleague, Mrs. Patricia Wallace, in a co-teach experience. I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
