Parents:
The so  2nd nine weeks has come to an end. Science FCAT's are bearing down on us. They cover 6th, 7th, 8th grade science. I will be sending home practice material, so please be on the look out for it.
There is another matter that I must mention. Many of the students waited until the last 48 hours to turm in late or make-up work both written and on compass odyssey. This was most difficult for me to evaluate and record in time for grades to be handed into the administration. Next nine weeks I will not accept ANY work past March 22nd. Thank you in advance for helping me with this issue.

Attendance: Necessary for success in this class as a large portion of your grade is based on group work, labs, and participation. One day is allowed for makeup work for every day sick or otherwise excused absence.

Homework: May or may not be assigned every night. At times, the homework will be assigned on a Monday and due by Thursday. Oops—I forgot? Turn in next day for ½ credit.

Lab Work: Missed labs cannot be made up. You will receive an alternative assignment to be completed. Lab safety is extremely important, and you will be given a set of guidelines that are to be kept in your lab notebook. Any misconduct in the lab will result in a zero for the lab and you will do an alternative assignment.

Safety Net and Tutoring: I will be available upon request on Tuesday afternoon. Please ask in advance so I can make arrangements. Also, grade recovery for the nine weeks is available on Odyssey.
