Starting a homework assistance/tutoring program for students who have a hard time completing homework assignments at home or who need extra instruction.  Look for letter if I think your child might benefit from this.

Grading
There will be at least 1 (occasionally more) quiz(zes) per week: 10-15 pts./each (unannounced)
Chapter test at end of every chapter: 100 pts/each (1 week announcement)
Homework: 10-20 pts./assignment
Class work(ie: class notes, labs, DO NOW, etc.): 5 to 20 pts./each
Extra Credit: Up to 20 pts./each
 
Student work turned in on time can be awarded up to the maximum points.
Students with excused absences have until the next day to turn work in for full credit
Student work turned in late may be awarded up to 70%
Student work never turned in during grading quarter will receive a letter grade of F or something less than 59%

A 90 - 100%
B 80 - 89%
C 70 - 79%
D 60 - 69%
F 0 - 59%

Homework:
There is homework every night.  At least a 15 minute review of what we have been covering in class.  This can be through the textbook, class notes, vocabulary, in-class assignments, etc.

Materials:
Three ring binder (Used for all core classes and planner)
Loose Leaf Paper
Pocket Folder with 3 clasps (Class Journal - Stays in classroom)
Colored Pencils
Pencils/Pens (Blue/Black only)
