Congratulations to Caitlin T. and Julian P. They will be representing our team and school this month at the regional science fair! Way to go!

Thank you to all of the other participants and parents who also worked very hard! You should be very proud of your hard work.

School science fair will be held on Jan. 26th
from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the Media Center.
(Only student participants will be allowed to enter during judging. Please dress in nice school clothes and be prepared to tell the judges all about your awesome project! You may want to  bring a snack to eat after school and something to do while you wait for your turn (puzzle, homework...) You may have a cell phone to use to call your parent after judging but you may not have it on during the science fair. Please have your parents pick you up at 6:30 p.m.)
Good Luck :)

Congratulations to:

Welcome to 6th grade Science!
My name is Ms. Blunk and I grew up right here in Jacksonville Beach! I graduated from Fletcher High School and then started college at the University of Florida. I graduated from the University of North Florida, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. I had always loved school as a student (Science and lunch were my favorite subjects) and when I became a substititute teacher during college, I fell in love with teaching.  This is my seventh year of teaching and I have taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. I have taught every subject except for math. Sixth grade is by far my favorite grade to teach!

I look forward to an exciting year together with you!

Early Release - pick up time is 2:45 p.m.

Homework

**Daily homework will consist of working on your science project proposal and then your science project between now and December 7th - when the entire backboard is due** (If you do not have other homework in class, work on your project or review class work)

Homework will be posted on the whiteboard in the classroom. Homework is ALWAYS due the following day unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to come in and write your homework down in your agenda/planner daily. The agenda/planner is not signed and/or checked daily by the teacher in middle school (due to time restrictions). If there is a note written in the agenda/planner please bring it to me at the beginning of class.
