Welcome to the STELLAR WOLF section of Twin Lakes Academy Middle School.

              My name is James Burns.  I am your Math Teacher.

              I am married and have two children.  I also have five grandchildren who are a handful!

              I have been teaching in Duval County for nine years.  I am certified to teach Math in grades 5 through 12 and am certified in the gifted program.

              Prior to teaching in Duval County I served in the US Navy for nine years.  My last tour of duty was on the USS Saratoga with a tour in Vietnam.
              In the Navy I served in Engineering.  I also taught Naval Damage Control at the Naval Station in Philaelphia, Pa. for three years.

             After leaving the Navy I taught Math and Chemistry at Bishop Kenny High School for two years. I also went into the business of water treatment which included chemical sales and product formulation.
              
              I enjoy teaching Math and I am looking forward to meeting all our students and having a great year.
