2D
9th grade students will complete projects in drawing, painting and design.
Printmaking One
First year printmaking students will work from drawings to complete linoleum relief prints and zinc intaglio prints.
Printmaking Two
Second year printmaking students will work from drawings to complete prints in the relief, intaglio, silkscreen techniques.
AP 2D Design
Third year printmaking students complete a portfolio using drawings and prints in the relief, intaglio, silkscreen, and lithography techniques.
Graphic Design
Students create graphic design projects using the Illustrator program
Grading Procedure
Ten items will be graded each quarter. The value of each grade is 10 possible points. The total points actually earned from each of the ten graded items will be added together to create your final grade based on 100 possible total points.
100-90 pts = A, 89- 80 pts = B, 79-70 pts = C, 69-60 pts = D, 59-50 pts = F
All work is due on the day assigned. At mid-term any student averaging 6 points or below per assignment will receive an unsatisfactory on their progress report.
Homework
Homework assignments will be graded and are weighted equally with all other classroom grades.
Make-up Work
Students will be allowed to turn in 2 assignments after the due date has past for full credit. After students have used their 2 make-ups all remaining assignments must be turned in on time. Late work will only receive up to half credit, 5 points. Students may work after school on Tuesday & Thursday.
