Dear Student

I hope you are feeling positive about making gains in your reading skills this year. You will be setting goals for improvement, and together we will monitor your success periodically throughout the year.  I ask that you be ready and willing to put forth the effort to be the best you can be!

The key to success is staying organized and working hard, and I will give you some tools to help you with this. If you have had experience with the READ 180 program, hold on to your hats!! Plugged In will be stimulating and interesting and get you actually looking forward to reading books--books about stuff you are interested in! :)

I look forward to seeing you become enthusiastic about making great gains in reading. You know the saying, "Practice makes perfect." That holds true with reading, too, so we will be reading a lot! Class time should be pleasant, but you need to bring your cooperative and determined mindset every day!
