A Little Bit About Me


I grew up in Ohio.  Go Buckeyes! :)  I grew up playing tennis, made states, and went on to play division 1 tennis for the United States Military Academy at West Point.  I spent two years there, and left at the end of my sophmore year.  I then went on to finish my degree at Palm Beach Atlantic University in Palm Beach Florida.  Wow! That was a big change from West Point!

I graduated with a degree in political science and mathematics.  I originally thought I was going to be a lawyer, but after 3 semesters as an intern at a law firm, I knew that was NOT what I wanted to do! So, I fell into teaching, and I absolutely love it!  This is my third year at First Coast and I plan on sticking around for awhile. 

As a result of my time at West Point I have the utmost respect for all of our armed services, and still have many ties to it.  I also still love tennis and most physical activities.  I still play tennis,run, and kayak.  In my free time I like to travel to see my many friends in the military, go to the beach ( more than I should), and I still love reading novels. 

I love being around people and love working with them.  I have 4 younger brothers and 2 sisters, so I am used to a little chaos, but love the fun and diversity:)
