Announcements:

- Please visit the "Unit 1" tab in order to find out more about the novel each student should be reading right now (posted 8/27)

- Open House was MONDAY, AUGUST 31, 2009 at 5:30 pm.  Please see my link, "Survival Tips for Parents!" for the information that was provided during Open House (updated 9/1)

- Vocabulary set 1 has been added to the "Unit 1" tab (posted 9/10)

- Teachers were recently told that parents would not be able to access student grades on OnCourse until Sept. 21;  if a parent was recently able to view his/her child's grade on OnCourse, the grade the parent saw may not be accurate.  It is likely that the grade on the student's progress report is also inaccurate.  I will be sending home a progress report with each student on Monday (9/21) and Tuesday (9/22).  This is to be signed by a parent and returned for points.  If the grade is a D or an F, the student is required to stay after school one day (1:45 - 2:30) to make a plan with me for recovery and future success (posted 9/18)

- Vocabulary set 2 has been added to the "Unit 1" tab (posted 10/6)

- Basics of Essay Writing Notes have been posted on a separate tab.  Test on Monday (10/19) and Tuesday (10/20) (posted 10/16)

- Information regarding my Grade Recovery process has been made available on a new link ("Grade Recovery INFO").  Please look over that information carefully if you feel that it applies to you (posted 11/22)

- Vocabulary set 3 has been added to the "Unit 1" tab ... sorry for the delay! (posted 11/23)

- A link detailing extra credit opportunities for quarter 2 has been added.  Please read this information carefully (posted 12/14)
