Announcements
Open House will be on September 3, 2009.  It will begin at 6:30.  

Thank you for sending in school supplies.  We will begin setting up writing and reading binders next Monday.  

I know that many of you are wondering about spelling.  We will begin our spelling lessons next Monday.  Tests will be on Fridays.

Writing
We are going to use composition notebooks as sourcebooks in writing.  I've asked the students to decorate the notebooks.  They may use such items as pictures, stickers, and glitter.  Please allow the students to bring in these items.  Thanks.

Reading
I've sent home a letter explaining my procedures for reading and logging books.  Please review the pink letter.  Sign and return the second sheet.  Thank you!                                                                                                                                 Contact Information
