Dear Parents and Guardians

I would like to thank all of you for your support. Please continue to encourage your child to complete all home work assignments nightly and to read for 30 minutes of more.

Study island has been set up for your child. Students can now log in using  S and their students number. Each students password will be mustangs.

Math

Currently in Math we are working on solving multiplication problems using multiple strategies to solve them. For the next couple of weeks students will be working with arrays.  

Reading

Every week your child will learn a new reading strand in which they are to master by the end of the week. Students are given a study guide in which includes the weekly vocabulary words, and language arts focus of the week. Please review the story and vocabulary words with you child to help them prepare for their test on every Friday.

* Reminders:

• Book responses are due every Friday morning please motivate your child to select different genres of interest.
• Home work is given Monday- Thursday. No homework on Friday.
• If you have any questions or concerns feel free to write a note in your child's agenda, contact me by email Jenkinst4@duvalschools.org, or I can be reached by phone 694-7510 ext 157. 
• Please return the bottom portion of your child's progress report that went home Friday September 25th, 2009.
