NEW POLICY as of October 27th (2nd 9-weeks)----

1. HOMEWORK WILL COUNT TOWARDS 5% OF THE STUDENTS' EXAM GRADE, IF STUDENTS DO ALL OF THEIR HOMEWORK THEY WILL RECEIVE THE 5%, IF THEY DO NOT THEY WILL NOT RECEIVE THE BENEFIT OF THE 5%.

2. ALSO, I AM TRYING AN EXPERIMENTAL GRADING RUBRIC, INSTEAD OF 100PT. SCALE WITH THE EXCEPTIONS OF TESTS, I WILL USE THE 4PT RUBRIC:

3- B
2- C
1- D
0- F

3. 90% OF THE STUDENTS' WORK WILL BE ASSESSMENTS (NOT JUST TESTS). FOR EXAMPLE: GRAPHIC ORGANIZERS, TIMED READINGS, FCAT INSTRUCTIONAL FOCUS STRATEGIES,MINI-ASSESSMENTS, ETC.)

PARENTS AND GUARDIANS:

1. REMIND YOUR WONDERFUL KIDS TO BE ON TIME EVERYDAY AND COME TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY.
2. TALK TO YOUR KIDS ASK HOW MANY TARDIES THEY HAVE AND HOW THEY ARE DOING IN THEIR CLASSES.
3. REMEMBER ALL TEACHERS CAN BE REACHED VIA EMAIL!!!
4. ALSO, disrespect is not tolterated, please remind your children there will be consequences for their actions.
