Welcome to Mrs. Thomas' First Grade Class!


It is important to read to or have your child read at least 1-2 books a night! This will help them become familiar with letters, words, and texts. The goal is for your child to read 20 books a month to reach the 100 book goal for the year! Keep Reading!

* For every 20 books read each month, your child will receive a BOOK IT! pizza coupon and will get to have lunch with ME!

*Remember: you can place your Scholastic Book order online! For each parent order, the class gets a free book. Our class code is: HDXL2

Volunteers and Chaperones.....if you would like to volunteer in the classroom and/or be a chaperone on a field trip, make sure that you fill out the volunteer application on the Duval County website. Do so as soon as possible to be approved!

Please bring in snack on your child's snack day!

Be here on time every morning!

We are running out of a few items in the classroom. If you are able to send in any of the following items, it would be great!
~Hand Sanitizer
~Bandaids

~ Fun Friday items

* Please check your child's planner every night for behavior notes and important papers.
* Homework Folders will be sent home every Monday. Please send them back on Friday.
